Script Meeting

There is no denying that the S3D studio is primarily a research project. Our goal is to explore the sensations associated with binocular vision and the associated sense of space.

Although interest in stereoscopy dates back to the 16th century, there is still much to be discovered in this field. Our work aims at conducting experiments and investigating the possibility of introducing completely new 3D sensations into modern cinematography.

We think the most interesting thing about this project is that the result is not just a series of tests, but a short animated film. The focus of our work remains the investigation of the influence of stereoscopy on the dramatic value of a film work. In order to do this, we create an appropriate script, whose authors include, in addition to the screenwriter, the director and cinematographer, as well as the stereographer. This combination is supposed to provide us with material that is not only visually attractive and rich in experiments with space, but also to test them in the real conditions of film production.
